If you're looking to replenish your body water content and electrolytes in the Pattaya tropical heat then one of the many electrolyte powders sold around Pattaya is a great alternative to boring plain water or sugar filled soft drinks. Electrolyte powders shouldn't have to cost a fortune and they don't, this box of 25 packets cost only 70 Baht making it a cost of under 3 Baht a packet. Similar boxes of 25 packets are sold under many brand names here in Thailand with pretty similar prices. Almost all pharmacies sell them in the price range of 70 to 140 Baht, most places also sell them one packet at a time. I paid 70 Baht for this box in the photo at the Makro on the highway in south Pattaya, they don't sell them at the Makro on North Pattaya Road. To use just pour a glass of cool water open a packet pour it into the same glass of water and stir. If I am using water I have at home at 1 Baht a liter that makes this refreshing drink cost a total of 4 Baht . I also fill plastic water container with water and mix the electrolyte right in the container by giving it a good shake for my walk arounds. Most of the time if I am out on a walk instead of buying an energy drink I just buy a water and pour in a packet of electrolyte that I bring along.
Electrolytes have many benefits they help regulate our muscle and nerve functions and our body's hydration and blood pressure. They help with rebuilding damaged tissue after a work out. when you exercise, you sweat and naturally lose a lot of water and salt through your pores. Within those salts, you’ll find important electrolytes like potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphate.
I am not endorsing this brand either way it just happens to be the brand I use
A box of 25 packets like this one pictured cost 71 Baht. I buy these at the Makro on the Sukhumvit highway in south Pattaya. Almost all pharmacies also sell electrolyte mixes in various brands. Most are not this cheap but you don't have to drive out on the highway either.
